Connecting Communities
In Coventry we are blessed with beautifully diverse communities, and we believe that by bringing people together we can improve the community as a whole. At Together for Change we encourage projects that celebrate diversity, and break down barriers of age, race and socio-economic status in order to develop healthy relationships and tackle isolation and loneliness.
Below are examples of the ways in which we help:
Funding Projects:
We support a wide range of projects that are connecting communities through our grants funding. Some examples of these include Places of Welcome, a Dementia friendly Cafe and a Community Play Area and Garden.
Support for the Elderly:
Support for isolated and vulnerable older people can be accessed through the Good Neighbours project, which is a collaboration between Together for Change and Hope Coventry.
Welcoming Refugees and Migrants:
We have also pioneered the Fresh Start Project which aims to welcome refugees and migrants to Coventry, and assist with integration and tackle the loneliness that comes with moving to a new country.
