Good Neighbours Groups Highlights
Here are some highlights from groups that are funded through the Good Neighbours project, with our Good Neighbours Grant.
Trinjen Knit and Chat Group
Trinjen Knit and Chat group meet at St James Church Centre. This Asian Ladies group “knit with a purpose” for those in need, and the Good Neighbours grant that they received has helped with running costs, including with purchasing wool. The photo shows their latest donation of scarves, blankets, gloves etc for refugees being collected by Carriers of Hope.
Styvechale Community Cafe
Styvechale Community Café received a Good Neighbours grant, which has gone towards a water boiler. This makes it much quicker to serve hot drinks! This particularly benefits the café, which runs every Thursday morning.
House of Empowerment Lunch Club
House of Empowerment support a Singing and Luncheon Club for elderly people in Longford, with the help of a Good Neighbours grant. The photo shows the latest venture which involves preparing to take part in opera!
