Message Bus
At Together for Change, we are passionate about seeing the lives of young people positively transformed. In partnership with The Message Trust and the Anglican churches of Warwick and Budbrooke, we deliver an innovative and high-quality detached youth service to areas of Warwick without a youth provision.
In partnership with the Message Trust, we have kitted out a double decker bus into a modern, state-of-the-art mobile youth centre, packed with an Xbox, Playstation, nail bar, iPads and other games and crafts. Our bus-based ministry is designed to deliver an innovative and high-quality detached, mobile youth service to areas of Warwick which are currently without a youth provision.
The Message Trust is a worldwide movement with a passion to share the love of Jesus Christ in words and actions with the hardest-to-reach young people and communities, through creative mission, community transformation and Christ-centred enterprise. They have been operating Message buses since 2000 and are hugely experienced in youth work and community outreach. Through their bus ministry, The Message Trust have seen a reduction in crime-rates and anti-social behaviour and have consistently seen lives transformed. Today they have five buses on the roads across the UK, with buses currently operating in Wales, the North West, the North East, London and now Warwick!
Each bus session gives young people a safe place to go with their friends, and a chance for the Message Bus team and youth workers from the local church to connect with them, tell them about Jesus and all whilst helping young people navigate the challenges and issues they face in life.
At each location, the Message Bus spend time in the communities and work with local churches to either strengthen existing youth provisions or support the setting up of new youth groups with the ultimate goal to share the gospel in an interesting and relevant way, whilst equipping our churches to do the same.
The mobile aspect of the Message Bus means makes it possible for us to engage with young people in their own communities. Through these sessions’ relationships are built, young people engage with the local church and lives are positively transformed.
