April Gold appointed Chair of the Board of TFC
Together for Change (TFC) are thrilled to announce that April Gold has been appointed as the new Chair of the Board. April took up the post on 1st August 2022, following the retirement of previous Chair, Ruth Marlow.
April has served as a trustee on the Together for Change board for 3 years and will continue to bring her wealth of experience and expertise to her new position as Chair.

April will bring energy and vision to this role, and I am grateful to her for agreeing to step in over the next 12 months.”
April said:
“I am excited to work with TFC to continue to breath life into parish and Deanery led social action projects which express the good news of the kingdom in local communities.”
April's Biography
April began her career in Financial Services in London, professionally qualifying in general insurance. In 1990, April relocated to Rugby to form part of the senior leadership team managing a new customer services team.
In 2000, following the birth of her two children, April followed a call to step into teaching and began working for an outstanding secondary school in Rugby. April remained in this school for 17 years and was promoted to the role of Deputy Headteacher in 2015.
In 2017, April was called away from teaching and into the role of Deputy of Education for the Coventry Diocesan Board of Education. In September 2020 April became Director of Education and currently leads the DBE team to inspire CofE schools to demonstrate the love of Christ as they educate for life in all its fullness.
At Easter 2018, April and her husband Steve, moved onto a large new development, Houlton, in Hillmorton, Rugby. During this time, April worked in collaboration with the Department of Education, Local Authority and DBE team to open St Gabriel’s Academy to serve the children of Houlton. Steve is priest in charge of the parish of Hillmorton and together they have planted a new church, St Gabriel’s,
In 2019, April joined the Board of Together for Change following a particular interest in Family Link work. Since then, April has brought her passion for seeing communities flourish and enabling positive transformation to people’s lives to support TFC’s work across a range of projects.
April was raised in Sheffield and attended a local Methodist church as a child. April enjoys frequently visiting her two grown up children and spending time touring the UK and Europe in her caravan.
